Oh I must've forgotten in my last post to explain how much I am the man. The number two guy at my building came up to me, got off his phone and told me to apply for a promotion in a position where I'll be making two more dollars an hour. THENNNN I was approached by the manager of the temp agency asking for my recommendation on who I wanted to be hired on as a Coach, which is kind of like saying "Ian is there anyone you know who wants to make 14 dollars an hour bossing people around who will report directly to you?"

It just feels good to win one for a change.

Flu Season

My work is having its annual flu vaccinations. I'm not going to bother. Who's to say I won't catch some other virus? But on a real note, I was just thinking, if I had a compromised immune system, I would definitely get vaccinated, especially with this swine flu thing going around. Supposedly the combination of swine flu plus regular flu is kind of a big deal and can be deadly for someone young who can't really fight it off. I think I'll be fine though.

PS. Every time I typed flu, including just then, I typed fly. Holy shit. Except for just then.

Last night was RIP Cincinnati at the Mockbee. It was pretty cool. Something put me in a strange mood there, but I don't know what it was. I guess I'm going to start going to Club nights at the Mad Hatter.

This week I get to talk Sgt. Delorenzo to see what my options are. For the first time in a long long time, I'm actually scared about something.

C'est La Vie Say The Old Folk

Interesting day. I drifted between the hours of 4 and 6.

I got off work and walked to Kroger in Over the Rhine. I came to the conclusion that the worst that could happen was to be pistol whipped and get knocked out and end up in the hospital. But it didn't happen. I didn't even get hustled for money. Kroger's was closed.

So from there I went to Lucy Blue Pizza for my weekly visit. Almost got puked on by a drunk child. As I started my second slice of cheese pizza, I guess the workers thought they wanted to hear Death Cab. Bummer.

I came home to Pulp Fiction. I remember the last time I watched this movie all the way through.

I decided I'm scheduling my ASVAB test next week.

I need someone to eat the chunks out of my salsa for me.

Car Fixed

I had to clean out my garage so my car could get fixed in it. It was full of stuff from my old apartment. Notes I thought I had lost, crafts, pictures, Christmas trees, things of that nature. I threw them all away. Kind of liberating. Kind of not. Either way, my car is fixed now.

Someone sat next to me at the library so I'm leaving.

To my new apartment are in my hand RIGHT NOW. No electricity yet, but its my new home now so I gotta stay there! I am vary excite!!!! I'm on the with Duke getting it turned on right now. IT IS SO AWESOME!!!

This weekend I am going to Ikea to get a tv stand and going to Columbus and doing all this other really cool stuff! AWESOME!!!!

The only not awesome thing is that I still have no idea where to park. I'm thinking of driving my bike to Newport and just riding my bike around trying to find a garage I can rent. Not looking forward to it.

Paranormal Activity

It's common knowledge that my house is haunted, but this post isn't about that. It's about this awesome movie that's supposed to be the scary movie to end all scary movies. I'm serious, every review I have read has just went on and on how absolutely terrifying this film is. However, it is playing in only a few select cities around the world... BUT ONE OF THEM IS COLUMBUS, OHIO!!!

So after the big move next weekend, I have decided I am going to go to Studio 35 and partake in this midnight viewing of Paranormal Activity. Oh and how cute, look what I found in my research:

Two Atoms in a Molecule

Air conditioning is a nice amenity, but for the life of me, I can't get used to it. It just makes my throat sore and dry. However I do enjoy trying to find ways to stay warm.

If I can stay living in my new apartment. I LOVE IT SO FUCKING MUCH. It's right in the heart of downtown and my three humongous floor to ceiling windows (almost anyway) look right out over downtown!!!!! Pictures will be up very very soon! Come visit! Walnut and Court in downtown Cincinnati! But call when you get there cuz there's like four different locked doors you gotta get through.

Oh and! I think there's enough room for ALL OF MY SHOES. Phew. That was the main selling point, really.

I think I might even try to make some sort of art to the best of my abilities and hang it up... Who knows though. All I know is I'm going to make this place fucking awesome.

It's Been Real

Well. I found an awesome studio for cheap cheap. Instead of moving the redneck way, with pick up trucks and SUVs, I think I'm going to save myself the trouble and just rent a U-haul. I'm going to have to get creative with my shoes though. they take up entirely too much space, and while the place isn't TINY, its small enough to where I don't want to be tripping over my billion pairs of shoes. FML. This is ridiculous but I think I'm going to hang them from my ceiling or wall somehow. Just wait and see.

Hahahaha I also heard the funniest thing the other day. I can't really specify but it's funny what people need to tell themselves to get over something. Its really not even worth my time elaborating on, but apparently it involves me begging for something? Unless it was for a burrito, I wouldn't believe it.

Sunday is Have Heart's last show they'll ever play in Cincinnati. And then that following Wednesday is The Gaslight Anthem. I haven't been to good shows that close to each other in a long long time. And on that note, how the hell do people find out about shows around here anymore?! Myspace?! I missed the Bitter End show cuz I didn't even know it was going on. Maybe if I make my Too Soon Blog (which is my idea of a blog where you just make really off color jokes about celebrities who died very recently while its still considered offensive) maybe I'll make a forum on it for shows. Doubt it though. But anyway! The fireworks are on the same day as the Have Heart show! It'll be like we're celebrating them! It'll probably make parking atrocious though.

Ugh enough. Someone come feed me.

Promise Me

So for some reason the apartment manager lady "Gloria" thought I was supposed to view the apartment tomorrow. So I woke up at 830 for no reason. Thanks world.

Well I made the most of it by wearing my favorite bright ass orange Nike jacket and riding around Buttermilk on my bike. Ended up taking my grandma out for breakfast cuz I'm a sweetheart and played with Iggy for a long time.

I also can say that Gluden's spicy mustard and A1 steak sauce is the absolute worst combination of condiments you could possibly make. Not that I would ever eat a mustard by-product, but Devin left a bunch of this nasty concoction out on the counter and everytime I walk by it, I think a day is taken off of my life. It makes me want to cry its so bad.

Dealbreakers

Once, there was a bunch of dealbreakers made up about reasons NOT to rent a house. I don't remember all of them but I think they dealt mostly with red shag carpet. We'll see if I add to that list today! I am looking at an apartment in Walnut Hills for 300 bucks a month. Sounds suspicious to me.

Actually I beat my alarm clock today, because it just went off. I really tried to convince myself to sleep in, but I've been getting up so damn early. I'm not sweatin it. And ITS REALLY COLD IN MY ROOM!!!! Does anyone else have this problem? Holy shit.

Well gotta call Gloria!

PS - I have an ingenious plan involving Gabriel Brothers and unlimited amounts of free shoes.
